NSIT welcomed its latest batch of students by bestowing them an entire week of celebrations propelled by interactive competitions and a jovial introduction to college life.

The ‘freshers week’ as it was christened was an initiative by Crosslinks-official media management society of NSIT. It was financially funded by IEEE. The prolonged event was held between 29th august and 3rd September 2011.

The concept was to promote interaction amongst juniors and seniors and to publicize various societies and their endeavors. In a span of 4 days, 6 societies proclaimed their prowess through various activities and garnered appreciation. The day 1 saw movie screening and a talk organized by SPIC MACAY and an IEEE event.Day 2 tested the quizzical inclinations with orientation quiz-Abhimanyu and a western dance workshop. A CSI backed TechTalk and a Just-a-minute organized by Debsoc finalized the week long extravaganza.

This innovative concept not only acted as an ice-breaker session but also infused new talent in various societies strengthening the bond between NSITians.
