The NSIT Quiz Club is a formal society of NSIT which organises quizzes within the college on a weekly basis and conducts the quizzes on the college’s behalf during the college fests. Since its inception, the Quiz Club has undertaken many activities that have helped spread its name all over India. Some
of these are listed below:

•  The NSIT Quiz Club Blog (www.nsit-qc.blogspot.com) – The Quiz Blog was setup 2 years ago with the aim of imparting quiz questions on a public  platform. The Blog is quite popular, having nearly 350 subscribers on RSS and around 1, 25,000 hits since its inception (till January 2010). The Quiz  blog has helped the Quiz Club as well as NSIT to gain prominence across the country.

• Winning BBC’s University Challenge – In 2004, when the quiz club was still an informal body, 4 quizzers from NSIT went on BBC’s University Challenge and won, beating teams like IIT Madras, IIT Delhi and IIM Kozhikode on its way. The show was aired on BBC subsequently.

• Winning the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2009 – A team of 3 NSITians(Krittika Adhikary, Roshan Shankar, Sharat Nambissan ) beat teams like Symbiosis Law School, Pune; IIT Delhi; NITIE,Mumbai; and MSRIT,Bangalore to win this prestigious quiz. The winners bagged a weeklong all expenses paid trip to Sweden as state guests of the Sweden Government. The win was covered in the Hindustan Times, dated 20th December.

• Appearing on ESPN Champions of the World Quiz – 2 NSIT teams (Roshan Shankar and Abhishek Bhardwaj; Sahil Kalra and PKV Kishan)  participated in ESPN’s Champions of the World Quiz in 2008. Both of them made it to the semifinal rounds, a distinction unique to NSIT alone.

• Finalists at NTPC Electron Quiz – NTPC’s Electron quiz is a national level business quiz for management and engineering colleges. An NSIT team has made it to the national finals of the quiz twice – in 2008 and 2009.

• NSIT Quiz Fest – The Quiz Club organised a Quiz Fest in February 2009. The fest saw nearly 250 students taking part from various Delhi colleges as well as outstation colleges from Pilani, Patiala and Chandigarh, thus confirming the fact that the NSIT Quiz Club’s brand was firmly
established.

• Presence in Open Quizzing – NSITians have finished in the list of top 100 quizzers every year at Mahaquizzer, a national open quiz conducted by Karnataka Quiz Association (KQA). In 2008, 3 NSITians - Jaideep Jagannathan, Sharat Nambissan and Roshan Shankar finished 41st, 84th and 100th respectively on the list whereas in 2009, 1 NSITian – Jaideep Jagannathan finished 84th on the list. At MegaWhats – a national open team quiz,  the teams from NSIT finished 48th and 74th.

At the World Quizzing Championships, 2 NSITians – Roshan Shankar and Udit Anand finished
67th and 107th respectively in the country in the 2008 edition whereas in the 2009 edition,
Roshan Shankar and Sharat Nambissan finished 66th and 74th respectively.

• Winning Quizzes at various outstation college fests – NSITians have participated and won quizzes held during the fests of prestigious colleges like IIT Kanpur, IIM Indore and IIM Calcutta.•Dominating the Delhi Quizzing Scene – NSIT teams regularly win quizzes held in various Delhi University and IP University colleges.
We are committed to encouraging a culture of quizzing within college students by conducting good quality quizzes on a regular basis. All our activities are non-profit and aimed at building an interest in general awareness amongst college students. We hope to take quizzing in NSIT and Delhi to new heights with our endeavours.
